Slide Ranch is a nonprofit educational farm on coastal public parkland in West Marin. We host day visits and overnight visits from school and community groups of all ages (pre-k through adult), most typically on Tuesdays-Saturdays. Groups range in size from 6 to 60. Day visits typically occur from 10am-2pm, and include milking our goats, feeding our chickens, an activity in our garden and a cooking activity or a hike. Overnight visits include more involved versions of the same, and also include things like a campfire and/or night hike. Overnight visitors often bring their own camping gear, although we have some gear to lend to groups who need it. Overnight groups also bring their own food for all meals which they cook themselves (we have all the cooking and serving gear - just bring the food). All of our activities are NGSS aligned, and can be taught thematically to match the interests of the group (for example, we can offer themes focusing on "food, clothing and shelter;" natural ecology; food systems; sustainability; stewardship etc). There are costs associated with visiting Slide Ranch, however we offer a wide range of scholarships and work hard to ensure no groups are turned away for lack of funds. iFLY is an indoor skydiving experience that creates true free fall conditions, just like skydiving, without having to jump out of an airplane. iFLY's 1000 hp vertical wind tunnel generates a wall-to-wall cushion of air, on which you safely float. There's no parachute, no jumping, and nothing attaching you to planet Earth. It's just you and the air, and it's the most incredible adrenaline rush. Anyone Can Fly. No experience is necessary. Just about anyone can fly, including those with physical disabilities. Children as young as three, to adults as young as 103 have flown with us
